Enrollment Eligibility & Requirements

Registration is strictly open to high school students who currently attend school or reside full-time within the Park City School District boundaries. Please note that our program is designed exclusively for active high school students; individuals who have already graduated from high school are not eligible to enroll.

  • AAA Utah Online, Behind-the-Wheel Package & Road Test

    This comprehensive driver education package fulfills all state requirements for students seeking to obtain their Utah Driver's License. This all-inclusive bundle includes:

    • AAA Utah Online Classroom ($53): Independent, 30-hour self-paced online curriculum (includes mandatory Rail Safety modules).
    • Behind-the-Wheel Instruction ($367): Mandatory 5 hours of private roadway driving combined with 6 hours of peer observation. (Requires prerequisite submission of Street Smarts Defensive Driving certificate).
    • Final Road Test ($53): Your official state-sanctioned practical road examination, administered by a certified district instructor.

    This package is designed specifically for students who have already finished (or are currently completing) their 30-hour online classroom requirement through an external provider and only require road training and state testing with the district. This package includes:

    • Behind-the-Wheel Instruction ($367): Mandatory 5 hours of private roadway driving combined with 6 hours of peer observation. (Requires prerequisite submission of your Street Smarts Defensive Driving certificate).
    • Final Road Test ($53): Your official state-sanctioned practical road examination, administered by a certified district instructor.

Process of Getting Your License

Step 1

Obtain Your Learner's Permit

Must be at least 15 years old. You must pass the official written knowledge test at a physical Utah Driver License Division (DLD) office before beginning any behind-the-wheel training.

Step 2

Register & Complete Online Coursework

Select your package and view FAQs. Our online classroom curriculum requires completing both the StreetSmarts modules and the AAA Online Coursework to satisfy state requirements.

Step 3

Complete Behind-the-Wheel Lessons

Learn from state-certified instructors. Full Package students automatically unlock the scheduling dashboard upon 100% course completion. Behind-the-Wheel Only students unlock access upon transfer credit verification.

Step 4

Take the Road Skills Test

After completing your required theory tracking and behind-the-wheel instructor sessions, take your final road examination with our team. Passing scores are transmitted instantly to the state DLD database.
